England and New Zealand will face off in the second Test at Basin Reserve, Wellington, starting Friday, December 6. In the first Test, New Zealand posted 254 in their second innings, but England chased down the target of 104 in just 12.4 overs. Ben Duckett contributed 27 off 18 balls, while debutant Jacob Bethell made a rapid 37-ball half-century, sealing the win. Joe Root, playing his 150th Test, also added an unbeaten 23* off 15 balls to guide England over the line. Earlier, England had responded to New Zealand’s first-innings score of 348 by posting 499, with Daryl Mitchell’s fighting 84 helping New Zealand take a narrow first-innings lead of 103 runs. However, the Kiwis couldn’t capitalize on their advantage in the second innings.

The temperature is expected to range between 16°C and 20°C, with a southeast wind blowing at 22 km/h, gusting up to 33 km/h. There is only an 11% chance of rain, with no thunderstorms expected.
