The Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi is set to host the second T20I match of the three-match series between India and Bangladesh on October 9. Following a convincing victory in the first T20I, where India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets, anticipation is high for the next encounter.

In the opening match in Gwalior, India showcased their dominance across all aspects of the game. With a seven-wicket win and 49 balls remaining, the match underscored Bangladesh’s struggles, especially in their T20 batting. With this victory, the Men in Blue aim to clinch the series in New Delhi.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to field first in Gwalior, a choice that paid dividends. Mayank Yadav, returning from injury after the 2024 IPL season, made his mark with a maiden over and claimed his first international wicket. Arshdeep Singh was also effective, taking two wickets in his opening spell, while Varun Chakaravarthy made a strong comeback with three wickets for just 31 runs in four overs. Washington Sundar and Hardik Pandya added to the effort, helping to bowl Bangladesh out for 127 runs in 19.5 overs.
In response, India raced to 25 runs without loss in just 1.5 overs. However, a mix-up between Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson resulted in Abhishek’s run out. Suryakumar quickly scored 29 off 14 balls before falling. Despite losing a couple of wickets, Hardik Pandya and debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy guided India to a comfortable victory.
As the match approaches, the weather in Arun Jaitley Stadium looks promising, with temperatures around 27°C, clear skies, and only a 2% chance of rain, ensuring a pleasant evening for cricket fans.
