In a remarkable feat, Australian opener David Warner has overtaken the legendary Indian cricketer Virat Kohli in T20 cricket’s highest run-scorers list. Warner achieved this milestone during Delhi Capitals’ third IPL 2024 clash against the Chennai Super Kings in Visakhapatnam.
Batting alongside Prithvi Shaw, Warner’s aggressive knock of 52 runs off 35 balls laid a solid foundation for the Capitals, who posted a formidable total of 191 runs. Warner initiated the onslaught from the outset, establishing the tone for his team before Mustafizur Rahman eventually dismissed him.
This innings propelled Warner past Kohli’s total of 12,175 runs, securing him the fifth spot in the all-time T20 run-scorers list.
