Stubbs scored an unbeaten 112 off 81 balls, helping South Africa post a massive total of 343. Winning the toss, captain Temba Bavuma chose to bat first, and the Proteas began with a solid opening stand of 78. However, Bavuma retired hurt after scoring 35, while Ryan Rickelton and Rassie van der Dussen contributed 40 and 35 runs respectively.

Stubbs walked in during the 24th over, following Van der Dussen’s dismissal, and immediately got busy, avoiding dot balls early in his innings to maintain the pressure on Ireland. He was well-supported by Kyle Verreynne, who played a fine knock of 67. Stubbs reached his half-century in the 37th over off 45 balls, pacing his innings expertly.

In the 46th over, Stubbs launched a brutal assault, smashing two sixes and a four off Hume, and reached his maiden century off 75 balls in the 48th over. His knock, featuring eight fours and three sixes, guided South Africa to a commanding position.

With this victory, South Africa secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Ireland struggled again, managing only 169 in response, following their earlier collapse for 132 in the first game, where Stubbs also impressed with 79 off 86 balls.
