Anticipated Return of Test Cricket

India and New Zealand:

Scheduled from November 1-5, this match marks the highly awaited return of Test cricket to Wankhede Stadium, which last hosted these two teams in December 2021. For Mumbai fans, this match offers a rare chance to watch the longest format of cricket in their city after a three-year break.

Free Passes for Young Cricket Fans

The MCA is also giving back to the community by offering free passes to young fans from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools, as well as semi-finalists from the Harris and Giles Shield tournaments. Led by MCA president Ajinkya Naik, this initiative not only received unanimous support from the apex council but also highlighted their commitment to fostering a love for cricket among the youth.

Affordable Ticket Options

To cater to fan interest, the MCA has introduced a variety of affordable ticket options. MCA has priced season passes for the North Stand, Sachin Tendulkar Stand, and Vijay Merchant Stand at Rs 1,500. Tickets for the Sunil Gavaskar Stand cost Rs 325 for the east lower section and Rs 625 for the upper section. This pricing allows fans to experience the action from prime locations in the stadium.

Weather Disruptions in Bengaluru

While excitement builds for the Mumbai match, the ongoing Test series has faced challenges. Day 1 of the first Test in Bengaluru was washed out due to rain, leaving fans and players disappointed. With forecasts indicating continued rain, both teams are nonetheless hoping for clearer skies as they compete for supremacy on the field.
