After the match, India’s fielding coach, T Dilip, awarded Rishabh Pant the ‘best fielder‘ medal. Pant’s standout moments included a vital catch and a clever stumping that dismissed Moeen Ali in the 8th over. Continuing a World Cup tradition, Dilip invited veteran Dinesh Karthik to present the medal to Pant in the dressing room, a moment shared widely on BCCI’s social media platforms.

This marks Pant’s second ‘best fielder‘ medal of the tournament, tying with Mohammed Siraj for the most by any Indian in T20 World Cup 2024.
