Playing at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, South Africa opted to field first and restricted Australia to 134 runs for five wickets. Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath resisted with a 50-run partnership, with Mooney scoring 44 runs off 42 balls before a run-out ended her innings. Ellyse Perry contributed a quick 31 runs, but South Africa’s Ayobonga Khaka excelled with bowling figures of 2 for 24.

In their chase, South Africa started slowly but gained momentum when Laura Wolvaardt and Anneke Bosch formed a crucial 96-run partnership for the second wicket.
