South Africa advanced to the Super Eight stage by winning four of their eight tour matches, finishing first in Group D. The USA faced tough teams like India and Pakistan in Group A but secured second place to advance.

Quinton de Kock hit a blistering half-century off just 26 balls, making it difficult for the USA. In his first over, Jasdeep Singh was hammered for 28 runs by de Kock, marking the most expensive over for the USA team. De Kock’s explosive start put immense pressure on the USA, helping South Africa reach 100 runs in just 10 overs.

After winning the toss, USA captain Aaron Jones chose to bowl. He said, “We’re going to bowl first. It’s going to be a good wicket, so we want the seamers to exploit it first. Extra spinner for us today, Kenjige in.”

SA skipper Aiden Markram said, “Doesn’t look too bad. We weren’t really sure what to do at the toss. We were leaning towards bowling but don’t mind batting first. Extra spinner today for us. Unfortunately, Ottneil Baartman misses out purely due to conditions; Keshav comes in.”

Captain Aiden Markram also made a significant contribution, hitting four boundaries and a six in his 32-ball 46. The partnership between Markram and de Kock produced 110 runs for the second wicket, helping their reach 51-1 at the midpoint.
