Star signs legendary commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu for IPL 2024, emphasizing the importance of hope in cricket

Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, renowned for his memorable commentary, returns to Star Sports for the upcoming IPL season.

After a successful stint in politics, Sidhu, known for his witty one-liners and ‘Khataak‘, is back in the commentary box. Star Sports announced his return with a social media post captioned, “Hope is the biggest ‘tope‘”.

In his cricketing career, Sidhu played 51 Tests and 136 ODIs, amassing 3202 and 4413 runs respectively. Initially labeled a “strokeless wonder,” he transformed into a key player for India.

Transitioning to commentary, Sidhu became a fan favorite for his witty remarks and shayaris. His presence adds excitement as the new IPL season begins on March 22nd with CSK vs. RCB at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
