Australia’s in-form batter Marcus Stoinis showcased his bowling prowess in the ongoing T20 World Cup encounter against Bangladesh by taking the crucial wicket of Shakib Al Hasan.

The dismissal occurred in the 16th over of Bangladesh’s innings when Shakib was attempting to build a strong finish alongside Hridoy. Stoinis, bowling his second over, delivered a full-length ball that stopped a bit after pitching around the middle and leg stump. Shakib tried for an aerial shot but mistimed it, resulting in the ball going high in the air. Stoinis easily completed the caught and bowled dismissal.
Right after Shakib’s dismissal, Hridoy responded by hitting Stoinis for two consecutive sixes. However, Pat Cummins quickly regained control for Australia, taking the wickets of Mahmudullah and Mahedi Hasan on successive deliveries.
As of writing, Bangladesh was struggling at 127 for seven in 18.4 overs, with Hridoy and Taskin Ahmed batting on 40* and 4*, respectively.
