However, the game’s turning point came in the 11th over when Axar Patel deceived Usman Khan with an arm ball that struck him in front of the stumps. Initially, the umpire turned down the appeal, judging it to be going down leg side. Yet, Rishabh Pant’s confident appeal convinced captain Rohit Sharma to opt for the Decision Review System (DRS). The review showed the ball would have hit the stumps, leading to Usman Khan’s dismissal.

Following Khan’s wicket, Pakistan faced a sudden collapse, losing crucial wickets in quick succession. Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah capitalized on the momentum shift, dismissing Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan respectively. This flurry of wickets reduced Pakistan from a comfortable 57-1 to a precarious 80-4, bringing India back into contention and tightening the grip on the match.

With Pakistan’s innings delicately poised, the game promised further twists as both teams vied for supremacy in this fiercely contested India vs Pakistan rivalry.
