Reports Suggest Rishabh Pant's DC to Reserve 50 Crores for Rohit Sharma in IPL 2025 Auction

Amidst this speculation, cricket journalist Rohit Juglan has reported that Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have set aside 50 crores each in their budget to bid for Sharma if he becomes available in the auction. Juglan reports that both franchises are eagerly awaiting confirmation about Sharma’s future with MI and are ready to make a substantial offer for India’s current ODI and Test captain.

Adding fuel to the fire, there are rumors that KL Rahul might part ways with LSG after some disagreements with the franchise’s owners during the 2024 season. If Rahul does leave, LSG would need an experienced leader, and Sharma could be the ideal candidate, given his proven leadership skills and significant brand appeal.

With his financial prospects looking strong ahead of the IPL auction, all eyes are on how Mumbai Indians handle the situation with their legendary captain, especially after replacing him with Hardik Pandya in the 2024 season.
