Jadeja’s stellar all-round performance not only sealed the win for CSK but also etched his name in the annals of IPL history by achieving a remarkable set of milestones.
During the thrilling encounter, Jadeja showcased his brilliance with both the ball and in the field. He claimed three crucial wickets in his four overs, conceding just 18 runs. Among his scalps were key players such as Sunil Narine, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and Venkatesh Iyer, significantly disrupting KKR’s batting lineup.
Furthermore, Jadeja’s exceptional fielding skills led to the dismissals of Phil Salt and Shreyas Iyer, propelling him to reach the milestone of 100 IPL catches. This feat places him in esteemed company, joining the ranks of cricketing legends like Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Kieron Pollard, and Rohit Sharma as the fifth player to achieve this milestone.
Even more amazingly, Jadeja has become the first player in IPL history to gather more than 1000 runs, take 100 wickets, and catch 100 balls, showing his many skills and highlighting his position as one of cricket’s top all-rounders.
Jadeja’s excellent play against KKR was crucial in limiting them to 137 runs, paving the way for CSK to easily chase the target and win by 7 wickets. Acknowledging his important role, Jadeja was rightly named the Player of the Match, proving his consistent greatness in the IPL.
