The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allocated 12.8 billion rupees for renovating stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi ahead of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, as announced by PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi. During a Board of Governors meeting in Faisalabad, Naqvi assured that the venues would be ready in time for the major event.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will receive the largest share, with 7.7 billion rupees dedicated to its upgradation. This includes 1,100 million rupees for a new steel-structured pavilion, 3,471 million rupees for a concrete office building, and 1,250 million rupees for the steel structure of the enclosure. Additional allocations include 523 million rupees for upgrading floodlights with 480 LED lights and 330 million rupees for new digital LED screens.
In Karachi, the National Stadium is undergoing a 3.5 billion rupee renovation. This budget covers 1,500 million rupees for the steel pavilion structure, 580 million rupees for renovating the main building and hospitality boxes, and 490 million rupees for new floodlights with 450 LEDs.
The Pindi Stadium will be upgraded at a cost of 1.5 billion rupees, with 393 million rupees for replacing floodlights with 350 LED lights, and 400 million rupees for renovating the main building and hospitality boxes. New digital screens and seating are also part of the renovation efforts.
The comprehensive renovation project aims to ensure that Pakistan’s stadiums not only meet international standards but also provide an enhanced experience for players and spectators alike, ultimately making them fully ready to host the prestigious Champions Trophy.
