Cummins reached this milestone by dismissing Daryl Mitchell on the second day of the Test match, making him only the second Australian captain, after Richie Benaud, to achieve this feat.

Before the commencement of the Test match, Cummins was on the brink of reaching this landmark, needing just one wicket to do so. The 30-year-old achieved the milestone on day two of the match, finishing with figures of 1 for 33 in his 10 overs.

This achievement places Cummins in an elite group of cricketers, as there are only 10 players in the history of world cricket who have managed to reach the milestone of 100 Test wickets as captain.

The list is led by legendary Pakistan captain Imran Khan, who tops the chart with 187 Test wickets as captain, followed by Richie Benaud with 138 wickets.

With this accomplishment, Pat Cummins joins the ranks of cricketing greats and solidifies his place among the top performers in the game.
