Pakistan-England Second Test Moved to Multan Amid Schedule Adjustment

There has been a slight adjustment in the schedule of England’s tour of Pakistan, set for October 7 to 28. The second Test, originally scheduled at the National Stadium in Karachi from October 15 to 19, has now been moved to the Multan Cricket Stadium. Despite the venue change, the match will still take place on the same dates.

Pakistan-England Second Test Moved to Multan Amid Schedule Adjustment

This means Multan will now host two Tests: the first from October 7 to 11, and the second from October 15 to 19. The third Test remains unchanged and will be held in Rawalpindi from October 24 to 28.

The reason for the schedule revision is the ongoing renovation at the National Stadium in Karachi, which is being prepared for next year’s ICC Champions Trophy. The Champions Trophy matches will also be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Both the Pakistan and England teams will arrive in Multan on October 2 to prepare for the series.

Usman Wahla, PCB Director – International, expressed the board’s enthusiasm about the tour despite the minor adjustments. “We are committed to providing fans with an exciting Test series and showcasing Pakistan’s famous hospitality,” he said. Wahla also highlighted the PCB’s eagerness to welcome the England men’s team back to Pakistan.
