Pakistan’s bowlers, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, dominated the English batsmen, taking all ten wickets in England’s second innings, which ended at just 112 runs. Noman claimed 6 for 42, marking his sixth five-wicket haul, while Sajid added 4 for 69, achieving his second ten-wicket match haul in just ten Tests. Their outstanding performances left Pakistan with a modest target of 36 runs for victory.
Shan Masood, Pakistan’s captain, made a quick impact, scoring 23 runs off just six balls, which included four consecutive boundaries and a six to seal the win. Prior to his innings, Noman and Sajid walked off together, basking in the glory of their impressive bowling that led to England’s collapse, losing seven wickets for just 46 runs on day three.
England began their innings with some promise but quickly faltered against the spin duo. Despite a solid 89 from Ollie Smith and 52 from Ben Duckett, the team could not withstand the pressure from Pakistan’s bowlers. With this series victory, Masood has now turned his captaincy around after a tough start, celebrating his first series win after six consecutive losses. This result boosts Pakistan’s confidence as they look ahead to future challenges.
