‘Nothing Changes When We Play in Playoffs’ Says SRH Coach Daniel Vettori

After Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) impressive four-wicket victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS), head coach Daniel Vettori reflected on the team’s performance, noting that the SRH bowlers were initially rusty but made a strong comeback in the final overs of the first inning.

In a video shared on Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) official social media channels, Vettori praised his team’s resilience and performance after a 10-day break. “Great blowout after sort of 10 days off to come together against a team that was still ready to perform. We were obviously a little rusty with the ball at the start, but to fight back in the last four overs was incredible,” Vettori said.

Vettori highlighted the exceptional performances of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batters Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi, who played crucial roles in securing the win. “Abhishek and Rahul took the game on to win the powerplay, and that is how we have won most of our games. Again, that was exceptional. You have to play exceptionally well to chase those big scores,” he added.

Looking ahead to the playoff match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Tuesday, Vettori emphasized the importance of consistency and sticking to their game plan. “Nothing changes when we go into the playoffs. Take the game on, play exactly the same, and stay consistent and true to our methods. Well done, boys,” he concluded.

As Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) prepares to face KKR, Vettori’s focus remains on maintaining the momentum and executing their strategies effectively in the high-stakes playoff environment.
