In the latest ICC T20I rankings, Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan has made a significant leap, climbing two spots to sixth position, while Babar Azam has slipped to seventh. Rizwan now has 713 rating points, surpassing Babar, who has 710. This change highlights Azam’s recent struggles in T20Is, where he has failed to maintain his usual high standards.

Australia’s Travis Head continues to hold the top spot in the T20I batter rankings with 855 rating points, while England’s Phil Salt and India’s Tilak Varma occupy second and third positions, respectively. Rizwan’s rise is a result of consistent performances, including a recent knock of 74 off 62 balls in the first T20I against South Africa. This year, Rizwan has played 19 T20Is, amassing 606 runs at a strike rate of 118.1, and boasts an impressive career average of 47.26 from 105 matches.
On the other hand, Babar Azam’s form has dipped, especially in the recent T20 series against South Africa, where he was dismissed for a duck. His struggle has continued since the series against Australia, where he managed just 41 runs in the third T20I. Despite being a veteran of 127 T20Is with over 4000 runs, Azam has been unable to find his rhythm in recent matches.
In the T20I bowling rankings, Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi has made a notable jump, climbing six places to 20th. Meanwhile, England’s Adil Rashid remains the top-ranked T20I bowler, followed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga and Australia’s Adam Zampa.
