Harmanpreet Kaur and Nandani Sharma continue to sit at the top of the WPL Orange Cap and Purple Cap standings, though the MI vs UP Warriorz match on Thursday brought some changes just behind the leaders.

Harmanpreet has been the standout batter of the tournament so far. After explosive knocks of 20, 74* and 71* in her first three matches, she surged to the top of the run-scoring charts. Even though she managed only 16 in Mumbai Indians’ defeat to UP Warriorz, she has held on to the Orange Cap. Harmanpreet now has 181 runs from four innings, scoring at an impressive strike rate of 160.17.
Delhi Capitals’ Lizelle Lee remains close behind in second place, trailing Harmanpreet by just 18 runs. The biggest movement on the list came from Phoebe Litchfield, who climbed to third position after scoring a valuable 25 off 22 balls during UP Warriorz’s successful chase against MI. That effort took her tally to 150 runs from four innings, allowing her to overtake Gujarat Giants captain Sophie Devine. Devine, who has scored 141 runs from three innings, now sits fourth. At this stage of the tournament, the competition is tight, with only 40 runs separating the top four batters.
On the bowling side, Nandani Sharma continues to dominate the Purple Cap race. She remains the only bowler in the WPL so far to claim a five-wicket haul, which also included a hat-trick. Her performances have helped her collect eight wickets from just three matches, keeping her firmly at the top of the wickets table.
Amelia Kerr has moved into second place after picking up 1 for 42 against UP Warriorz, taking her overall tally to seven wickets from four bowling innings. Before the MI vs UPW match, Kerr was level with RCB’s Nadine de Klerk and Mumbai Indians’ Nicola Carey on six wickets, but Carey went wicketless in that game, allowing Kerr to pull ahead in the standings.
