The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the revised list of players for the IPL 2025 mega-auction, set to take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. Originally, the list included 1574 players, but it has now been shortened to 574 players, generating excitement among fans ahead of the auction. The revised pool features 366 Indian players and 208 overseas players, with 3 representing associate nations. The list includes 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players, showcasing a diverse mix of talent.

The IPL 2025 auction will start later than usual due to the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which begins on November 22 in Perth. To avoid conflicts with the Test match, the BCCI has scheduled the auction to begin at 3:00 PM IST (12:30 PM local time in Jeddah) on Sunday, November 24, after the third day’s play in the first Test between India and Australia. This timing allows fans to catch both the auction and the ongoing cricket action seamlessly.
IPL teams will buy 204 players in the auction, with base prices ranging from ₹30 lakhs to ₹2 crores. Notably, the youngest player to go under the hammer is 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, while the oldest is 42-year-old James Anderson. The auction will span two days, but the board has yet to confirm the timing for the second day. The IPL 2025 mega-auction promises to be an exciting event as teams look to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.
