Among those named in India’s T20I squad, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel have already left the NCA and are likely to spend about a week at Rajasthan Royals’ high-performance center in Talegaon. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed will finalize their travel plans after India’s T20 World Cup campaign. If India reaches the final on June 29, these players will likely fly directly from the West Indies to Zimbabwe.

Captain Shubman Gill is expected to fly directly to Zimbabwe to join the squad, without returning to India. There might be some last-minute adjustments to the travel plans, but currently, it seems unlikely that he will return home.

Gill, originally a reserve for the T20 World Cup, was released with Avesh Khan after the Canada match in Florida. Avesh returned home, while Gill stayed in the US for commercial engagements, visiting Nike’s Oregon headquarters recently.

The revamped Indian team will play five T20Is in Harare during their tour of Zimbabwe.

India’s T20I squad includes: Shubman Gill (Captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), Nitish Reddy, Riyan Parag, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Tushar Deshpande
