Team India outclassed the USA by seven wickets at New York’s Nassau County Stadium in match number 25 of the 2024 T20 World Cup. This victory has nearly ensured that the ‘Men in Blue‘ will finish the opening round of the tournament at the top of the Group A points table.
Australia, led by Mitchell Marsh, have also won all three of their league games so far, securing the top spot in the Group B points table.
India’s latest triumph over the USA has set Rohit Sharma and his team to face Australia in the Super Eight round in Saint Lucia.
India to meet Australia on June 24 in Super Eight
India and Australia will clash in the Super Eight round of the 2024 T20 World Cup on June 24. Moreover, this much-anticipated match will take place at the iconic Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.
Both India and Australia, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma and Mitchell Marsh respectively, have qualified for Group 1 of the Super Eights. They will be joined by two more teams, one each from Group C and Group D, within the next few days.
Currently, Team India is preparing to face Canada in their final Group A match of the tournament on June 15 in Lauderhill. Meanwhile, Australia will take on Scotland at Gros Islet on the same day.
