ICC Announced big prize money for T20 World Cup winners: ₹20.4 crore

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is here, and the rewards for success have never been greater! The winners will take home a record-breaking $2.45 million, which is roughly ₹20.4 crore.

This year, the ICC announced significant prize money for all participating teams based on their final position. Here’s a breakdown:

• Runners-up: $1.28 million (₹10.6 crore)
• Losing semi-finalists (3rd & 4th place): $787,500 (₹6.5 crore) each
• Teams eliminated in the Super 8s (5th-8th place): $382,500 (₹3.2 crore) each
• Teams finishing 9th-12th: $247,500 (₹2.05 crore) each
• Teams finishing 13th-20th: $225,000 (₹1.8 crore) each

There’s more! Teams will also receive an additional $31,154 (₹26 lakh) for every match win, excluding the semi-finals and final.

This 28-day tournament, co-hosted by the USA and West Indies, kicked off on June 2nd. The group stage features 40 games, followed by the Super 8s with 12 games, culminating in the semi-finals and the final on June 29th. Get ready for some cricket!
