Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan made history on Monday by smashing the fastest century in T20 cricket. He achieved this milestone in just 27 deliveries against Cyprus, surpassing Chris Gayle’s record set in the Indian Premier League 2013, where Gayle scored a century in 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Chauhan’s feat also set a new record for the fastest hundred in T20 Internationals, beating Jan-Nicole Loftie-Eaton’s record of Namibia, who scored a century in 33 balls against Nepal.
In his blistering innings, Chauhan remained unbeaten on 144 runs off just 41 balls, including a record-breaking 18 sixes in a T20I innings. His extraordinary performance helped Estonia successfully chase down 191 runs in less than 13 overs, securing a six-wicket victory.
