Dhoni Sets New Record with 150 Catches in IPL

During the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday, April 5, 2024, at Dharamsala, Mahendra Singh Dhoni achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first player to take 150 catches in IPL history.

This remarkable achievement occurred when M. S. Dhoni caught his counterpart Jitesh Sharma from Punjab Kings (PBKS), dismissing him for a duck.

M. S. Dhoni’s record-breaking feat highlights his exceptional skills as a wicket-keeper, with 146 dismissals behind the stumps and an additional four catches in the outfield, placing him well ahead of his competitors. Dinesh Karthik, who currently plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), trails behind with 144 catches.

Other notable players on the list include A.B. de Villiers with 118 catches and Suresh Raina with 109 catches, both of whom have retired from the IPL.
