Litton Das Ruled Out of PSL 2025, Big Blow for Karachi Kings

Karachi Kings have been dealt a major blow ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, with star batter Litton Das ruled out due to injury. The Bangladeshi top-order batter announced the unfortunate news through his official social media handle, confirming he won’t be taking part in the tournament this season.

Litton was picked by Karachi Kings in the PSL 2025 draft and had already joined the squad ahead of their season opener. However, during one of the practice sessions, the right-hander suffered a finger injury. Scans later revealed a hairline fracture, forcing him to withdraw from the tournament. He has since returned to Bangladesh to begin his recovery.

In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Litton wrote, “Hope you all are well. I was truly excited to play in the PSL for Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I injured my finger. Scans later confirmed a hairline fracture, and doctors advised at least two weeks of rest. Unfortunately, this means I won’t be able to take part in PSL 2025. I’m heading back to Bangladesh and would really appreciate your prayers and support for a speedy recovery. Wishing the very best to my team, Karachi Kings.

Karachi Kings are yet to name a replacement for Litton. His absence will surely be felt, especially with the team’s batting strength taking a hit right before the tournament gets into full swing.

The PSL 2025 got underway yesterday, with defending champions Islamabad United cruising past Lahore Qalandars in the opener. Karachi Kings are scheduled to face Multan Sultans in their first match later tonight, following the Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators afternoon fixture.
