Bangladesh’s physio Bayjedul Islam Khan confirmed that a hamstring injury will sideline Pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib for Bangladesh’s third ODI against Sri Lanka.

Sakib played a crucial role in Bangladesh’s victory in the first ODI, where he picked three wickets for 44 runs, restricting Sri Lanka to a total of 255.
Unfortunately, Sakib has been experiencing discomfort in his right hamstring and hasn’t shown signs of improvement during training, making him unfit for the upcoming match.
In his absence, right-arm pacer Hasan Mahmud will step in for the series decider. Mahmud, who last played a one-day game in December 2023, will look to make an impact in the crucial encounter.
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face off in the third ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday. The series stands at 1-1, and the victor of the final match will claim the series victory.
After the ODI series, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play two Test matches, with matches scheduled for Sylhet and Chattogram, respectively.
