Tickets for the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup are officially on sale, with the tournament set to begin on September 30 in Guwahati. The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on Thursday that fans can access pre-sale tickets for all group matches in India and Sri Lanka through tickets.cricketworldcup.com. The first pre-sale phase runs for four days from September 4 at 1900 IST and SLST, exclusively via the Google Pay platform. The second phase will open on September 9 at 2000 IST and SLST (1430 GMT).
Ticket prices start as low as INR 100 (approximately USD 1.14), making it the most affordable pricing structure in ICC event history. This move aims to encourage wider attendance and generate greater interest in women’s cricket.
The World Cup will feature eight teams—India, Sri Lanka, England, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, and Bangladesh—competing across five venues: Colombo, Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Navi Mumbai. The opening match will see hosts India face Sri Lanka in Guwahati, while the final is scheduled for November 2 at a venue yet to be announced.
In addition to affordable tickets, the tournament will offer record prize money. The ICC recently revealed a pool of USD 13.88 million, nearly four times the USD 3.5 million from the previous edition in New Zealand in 2022. This significant increase highlights the growing stature and recognition of women’s cricket on the global stage.
With less than a month to go, anticipation is building as fans prepare to witness top international teams compete for glory. The expanded investment, competitive field, and accessible pricing promise a landmark event for the women’s game.
