Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has been appointed as the mentor of Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of IPL 2025 🏏💙. The 44-year-old will be part of a revamped coaching setup, joining head coach Hemang Badani, assistant coach Matthew Mott, bowling coach Munaf Patel, and director of cricket Venugopal Rao. However, DC is yet to confirm their captain for the upcoming season.

🏆 Pietersen’s First Coaching Stint in IPL

This marks Pietersen’s debut as a coach in the Indian Premier League. A former IPL star, he played in the tournament from 2009 to 2016, representing Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals), Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Rising Pune Supergiant.

• Led RCB in 2009 before handing over the reins to Anil Kumble.
• Captained Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2014 but endured a tough campaign, finishing bottom of the table with just two wins in 14 matches.
