The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the upcoming tri-series featuring New Zealand, South Africa, and Pakistan, which will take place in Lahore and Karachi. Initially, the series was set to be hosted at Multan Cricket Stadium, where Pakistan is currently playing a two-Test series against the West Indies. However, PCB decided to move the matches to Lahore and Karachi.

The tri-series will begin on February 8 with a day-night match between Pakistan and New Zealand at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. New Zealand will then face South Africa on February 10 in another day encounter. The league stage will conclude with a match between Pakistan and South Africa on February 12. The top two teams from the league stage will advance to the final on February 14, with both the February 12 and 14 matches being day-night fixtures.
The schedule is as follows:
- February 8: Pakistan vs New Zealand – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
- February 10: New Zealand vs South Africa – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
- February 12: Pakistan vs South Africa – National Bank Stadium, Karachi
- February 14: Final – National Bank Stadium, Karachi
Despite concerns over Gaddafi Stadium’s preparation, the PCB has confirmed significant upgrades to both Gaddafi and National Bank Stadiums. These include increased seating capacity, new chairs, improved broadcasting facilities with LED lights and large replay screens, and enhanced fan experiences with modern hospitality enclosures for players and officials. PCB views this series as an opportunity to showcase the revamped venues ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which starts on February 19.
