Mohamed Salah has expressed his frustration and concern over his future at Liverpool, revealing that he has yet to receive a new contract offer from the club, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old forward, who played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s dramatic 3-2 comeback win against Southampton on Sunday, admitted that he feels “probably more out than in” when it comes to his position at the club. Despite his continued importance to the team, Salah has not been presented with an extension, leaving the door open to speculation about his next move.
“I’m probably more out than in,” Salah told reporters after the game. “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club. I’ve been here for many years, and there’s no club like this. But in the end, it’s not in my hands. I’m still waiting to see what happens next.”
Salah, who has been a key figure for Liverpool since joining in 2017, revealed that the lack of communication regarding a new deal has left him disappointed. “Of course, I’m disappointed. I love the fans, and the fans love me, but it’s not just up to me or the fans. We will have to wait and see.”

Despite his ongoing contract uncertainty, Salah stressed his commitment to the team and his professionalism. “I’m not going to retire soon, I’m focusing on the season and doing my best to help the team win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League,” he added. “I’m disappointed, but I’m very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I just try to enjoy my football and play at the top level as long as possible.”
Salah had previously voiced his frustration in September, when he indicated that he felt his time at Liverpool might be coming to an end. Speaking after a 3-0 victory over Manchester United, he said: “I had a good summer to think positively. I’ve been enjoying my last year with the club, but nobody has spoken to me about a new contract yet. It’s not up to me, it’s up to the club.”
As Salah continues to deliver stellar performances on the pitch, his future remains uncertain. With Liverpool yet to make a move to secure the services of one of their most influential players. Fans will be hoping the club acts swiftly to resolve the situation, as Salah’s status at Anfield grows increasingly precarious.
