Rishabh Pant Reacts to India’s Series Loss to New Zealand with a Mysterious Message

Rishabh Pant took to social media to share a cryptic post shortly after India’s disappointing 25-run defeat to New Zealand at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. This loss completed a rare 0-3 series whitewash at home for Team India, following earlier defeats in Bengaluru and Pune. Pant, who was India’s standout performer in the Mumbai Test, hit brisk half-centuries in both innings. However, a controversial dismissal on Day 3 cut his innings short, preventing him from leading India to a potential win.

On Sunday, November 3, Pant posted valuable life lessons on social media, reflecting on the ups and downs of life and encouraging resilience through challenging phases. The 27-year-old’s message emphasized embracing life’s “low” moments to prepare for better stages ahead, reflecting his recent on-field experience.

In the final Test, India, chasing a modest target of 147, was bowled out for 121 runs in just 29.1 overs, largely due to the New Zealand spinners. Ajaz Patel claimed six wickets for 57 runs, and Glenn Phillips took three for 42, causing havoc in India’s batting lineup. Despite the team’s struggles, Pant delivered a fighting 64 off 57 balls with nine boundaries and a six, while the rest of the lineup combined managed only 45 runs, excluding extras.

Rishabh Pant also scored a fiery 60 in the first innings, helping India gain a narrow lead over New Zealand. He ended the series as the highest run-scorer with 261 runs in six innings, averaging 43.50 with a strike rate near 90. Pant now heads to Australia with his teammates for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, beginning November 22 at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
