Indian shooter Manu Bhaker has secured a spot in the final of the women’s 10m air pistol event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. In the qualification round, Bhaker finished third with a total of 580 points and 27 inner 10s after 60 shots.
Bhaker’s strong performance ensured her place in the final, scheduled to take place at 3:30 PM IST on Sunday, July 28. Her impressive qualification score came despite the challenge posed by her competitors.
In contrast, Manu Bhaker’s teammate Rhythm Sangwan did not advance past the qualification round. Sangwan, who began with a solid 97 points in her first series, struggled with a 92-point second series, which dropped her to 15th place and prevented her from qualifying for the final.
Hungary’s Veronika Major topped the qualification round, while Oh Ye Jin of South Korea secured the second spot. The final promises to be an exciting conclusion to this event, with Manu Bhaker aiming to build on her strong qualification performance.
