Indian cricketer KL Rahul and his actress wife Athiya Shetty recently grabbed headlines with their high-profile real estate purchase. The power couple acquired a luxurious apartment in Mumbai’s prestigious Pali Hill area for INR 20 crore. This upscale property in Bandra spans 3,350 square feet and is located on the second floor of the Sandhu Palace building. The apartment offers them a spacious urban sanctuary in one of the city’s most coveted localities.
Pali Hill is renowned for its celebrity residents and high property rates, often exceeding INR one lakh per square foot. Additionally, the building has a partial occupation certificate from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Furthermore, the couple paid a stamp duty of INR 1.20 crore and a registration fee of INR 30,000. The transaction was subsequently registered on July 15. It also includes four car parking spaces, a valuable asset in Mumbai.
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty’s relationship, which started as a friendship and blossomed into romance, has been in the public eye since going Instagram-official in 2020. Their wedding in January 2023 was widely celebrated, and their first-anniversary celebration photos went viral.
Rahul, after leading the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024, missed India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad. However, he is expected to be included in the team for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour, possibly leading the side in the ODIs. The couple was also recently seen at the wedding of industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant, with Radhika Merchant.
