This achievement places them among the active cricketers with the most ICC trophies to their names.
The list predominantly features players from Australia and India, nations renowned for their success in ICC tournaments over the past decade and a half. Alongside Kohli and Sharma, Australian cricketers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Steven Smith, and Josh Hazlewood stand out, each having secured four ICC trophies. This quartet has been stalwarts in Australia’s senior team, contributing significantly to victories in the ODI World Cups of 2015 and 2023, the T20 World Cup of 2022, and the World Test Championship of 2023.
Rohit Sharma’s journey began with the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 2007, where India emerged victorious under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. He continued his winning streak in subsequent ICC events, including the Champions Trophy 2013, where India triumphed over England. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, played a pivotal role in India’s ODI World Cup victory 2011 and their Champions Trophy win 2013, alongside Sharma.
