Manchester United Poised to Secure Arsenal Physio as Part of Injury Prevention Strategy

Manchester United is on the verge of securing Arsenal physio Jordan Reece, a move aimed at bolstering their injury prevention efforts.

The Premier League giants have made an offer to recruit Reece from their rivals, with final negotiations underway regarding his departure date. This move comes amidst United’s ongoing medical review, prompted by a series of injury setbacks that plagued their previous season.

Dr. Gary O’Driscoll, currently overseeing the medical review at United, previously worked at Arsenal and is familiar with Reece from their time together at the club. Reece is highly respected for his work with players and has been credited for assisting individuals like Gabriel Jesus through long-term injury issues, earning recognition as one of the best in his field.

While Arsenal is reluctant to lose Reece, United sees his appointment as a significant positive for the club. Under the leadership of new major shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his associate Sir Dave Brailsford.

United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, attributed their disappointing season partly to the injury list, despite their FA Cup success. The club recognizes the need for improvements in training methods, rehabilitation, and understanding underlying issues to mitigate injury risks effectively.

Defensive instability, marked by frequent changes in central defensive partnerships, was a significant challenge for United last season and contributed to their dip in form towards the end of the campaign.

While United has publicly acknowledged ongoing reviews of ten Hag’s position, injuries have undoubtedly impacted the team’s performance. Both United and Arsenal have refrained from commenting on the potential transfer of Reece.
