Davide Brivio Initiates Talks to Restructure Trackhouse’s MotoGP Rider Line-Up

Davide Brivio, the team principal of Trackhouse, is exploring options to enhance the team’s MotoGP rider line-up, with Joan Mir and Alex Rins emerging as potential recruits.

Both Mir and Rins have previously worked with Brivio during their tenure at Suzuki, and now he aims to bring them onboard to bolster Trackhouse’s presence in the 2025 MotoGP season.

According to reports from Sky, initial discussions have begun between Mir, Rins, and Trackhouse management, indicating a significant step towards potential collaborations.

In addition to Mir and Rins, Joe Roberts, a rising star in Moto2, has expressed interest in securing a seat with Trackhouse for the upcoming season. As an American rider, Roberts aligns well with Trackhouse’s identity as a newly rebranded US-based team.

Currently, Trackhouse fields Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez as their rider duo. However, Oliveira aspires to transition to the factory Aprilia team, while Fernandez faces uncertainty about his future in MotoGP, given his current performance.

Brivio’s preference for Mir and Rins stems from his past successful collaborations with them, particularly his championship-winning campaign with Mir at Suzuki in 2020.

Mir, now with Repsol Honda, is reportedly seeking new opportunities, while Rins, currently with Yamaha, may have alternative options with Yamaha’s potential expansion into a satellite team in 2025.

However, Trackhouse’s plans hinge on the decisions of the parent company, Aprilia. The outcome of Aleix Espargaro’s career decisions and Aprilia’s subsequent rider selections will dictate Trackhouse’s course of action.

As Trackhouse awaits clarity from Aprilia, they remain poised to align their strategies accordingly to ensure coherence between both entities.
