Joe Cole has expressed his support for Mauricio Pochettino’s managerial efforts at Chelsea despite the club’s recent struggles to secure European qualification.
Following their FA Cup semi final defeat to Manchester City and loss in the Carabao Cup final to Liverpool, Chelsea finds themselves in ninth place in the Premier League. Despite this, Cole believes that Pochettino is doing a commendable job given the challenges faced by the team.
Acknowledging Chelsea’s young squad, which is one of the youngest in both the Premier League and Europe, Cole emphasized the importance of time, wisdom, and experience in football. He noted that the club’s lavish spending has led to significant changes in the squad composition, necessitating patience and understanding during this transitional period.
