In the post-match interview, RCB captain Faf du Plessis expressed his dissatisfaction over Virat Kohli’s controversial dismissal, which left him visibly upset.

Speaking about Kohli’s dismissal, du Plessis remarked, “Controversial dismissal: “It’s crazy. Rules are rules. Virat and I thought the ball was higher than his waist. I guess they measured from the popping crease. In such situations, one team is always happy, while the other is not. That’s how the game goes sometimes.”

Promising Partnership Cut Short, Panic Sets In

Reflecting on the crucial partnership between Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar and the subsequent faltering after their dismissals, du Plessis admitted that panic set in due to their precarious position in the tournament.

“The partnership was magnificent, but when you don’t win too many games, panic sets in. The over from Narine was game-changing.”

Positives in Bowling and Fielding

Despite the loss, du Plessis found positives in their bowling and fielding performance, which kept KKR to a par score that was chaseable.

“I am actually proud of the boys tonight. The way we bowled and fielded, we did give away a couple of big overs towards the end, but I thought we kept them down to a par score. We thought we’ll go hard in the batting powerplay and find those boundaries at the start of the innings. From an effort perspective, it’s 10/10. We put up a great effort on the ground.”

Looking Ahead: Fighting Spirit and Fan Appreciation

Expressing gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support, the Proteas legend assured that they would continue to fight and strive to make their fans proud.
