Marc Marquez Shares Insights on Overcoming Challenges at COTA Debut with Ducati

Expressing his satisfaction with the progress made, Marquez highlighted the team’s response to the challenges faced during the first practice session. Collaborative efforts between himself and the team allowed for necessary adjustments, leading to an improved performance later in the day.

Acknowledging the significant differences in riding style between the Ducati and his previous Honda at COTA, Marquez emphasized the importance of adapting to extract the best performance from the bike. While recognizing the pace of other riders, Marquez remained optimistic about further improvements for the upcoming sessions.

Looking ahead to Saturday’s qualifying session, Marquez emphasized its critical nature, especially considering his previous grid positions this season. Aware of the complexities of achieving a fast lap at COTA, Marquez emphasized the need for precision during the time attack phase.

In terms of team performance, VR46’s Fabio di Giannantonio secured the ninth position among GP23 riders, while Marquez’s teammate and brother, Alex, faced a challenging session, finishing in 13th place and requiring participation in Qualifying 1.
