A glimmer of hope emerged for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their IPL 2024 encounter against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, thanks to a late blitz by young gun Mahipal Lomror. The 24-year-old pinch-hitter, coming in as a substitute, displayed remarkable power and finesse, smashing a quickfire 33 off just 13 deliveries.
Lomror’s Late Surge – A One-Man Show?
Lomror’s knock was a breath of fresh air amidst an otherwise subdued batting performance from RCB. He showcased his repertoire of cricketing skills with a mixture of audacious strokeplay and clean hitting. The highlight of his innings was an exquisite ramp shot against the express pace of Naveen-ul-Haq in the 17th over.
