Dwayne Bravo underscored CSK’s consistency and success over the years, praising their ability to maintain a strong presence in the league’s knockout stages and securing the IPL trophy five times.

“We don’t face any external pressure from owners, allowing players to stay true to themselves. That’s the essence of our franchise,” Dwayne Bravo expressed to Mid Day.

Speaking about the team’s composition, Dwayne Bravo acknowledged the squad’s strengths, particularly the bowling unit featuring players like Shardul Thakur, Mustafizur Rahman, Matheesha Pathirana, and Tushar Deshpande.

“This season, having Shardul Thakur back is a plus. Mustafizur Rahman brings experience and quality. Matheesha Pathirana, dubbed as the ‘baby Malinga,’ and Tushar Deshpande, who impressed last season, add depth to our bowling attack,” Bravo highlighted.

CSK will kick off their IPL 2024 campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Dwayne Bravo also expressed excitement about watching promising young talents Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Verma in action during the upcoming tournament. Additionally, he voiced his support for opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, praising his potential and performance.

“Jaiswal and Verma are exciting prospects to watch. Ruturaj Gaikwad, in particular, is a standout player whom I admire,” Bravo, one of IPL’s top wicket-takers, concluded.
