Last week, the limelight shifted away from the cricket field to the off-field drama surrounding Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and his family. In a statement addressing his father’s controversial interview, Jadeja alleged that the entire ordeal was “scripted.” The cricketer’s father, Anirudhsinh, made provocative comments about family dynamics, pointing fingers at Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba.
Anirudhsinh accused Rivaba of causing strained family relationships, alleging that Ravindra cut off communication after their marriage. Shockingly, he disclosed living alone, relying on his late wife’s ₹20,000 pension, despite being in the same city as the cricket sensation.
Adding fuel to the controversy, Anirudhsinh insinuated that Rivaba had gradually taken control of Ravindra’s assets and properties post-marriage. The allegations prompted questions for Rivaba, who, being a BJP MLA, was questioned about the matter at a public event. Visibly upset, she urged the reporter to address such sensitive issues directly with her, rather than in a public setting.
“Why are we here today? You can contact me directly if you want to know about it,” Rivaba expressed in a viral video. Despite this, the off-field turmoil has thrust the Jadeja family into the public eye, exposing personal issues faced by the cricketer and his family. Furthermore, the controversy extends beyond cricket, highlighting the complexities of sports figures’ personal lives.
