On Sunday, Shubman Gill broke his 12-inning drought, securing his third Test century in the second Test against England at VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Gill achieved the milestone in 132 balls, featuring 11 fours and two sixes.

This century marks a significant turnaround for Shubman Gill, who last achieved the feat against Australia in March 2023, scoring 128 in Ahmedabad. Since then, the 24-year-old cricketer amassed 197 runs in 12 innings with an average of 17.9.
