Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, two NBA superstars and future Hall of Famers, find themselves in a different Olympic Games setting for the Paris 2024 Olympics. While Curry is participating in his first Olympic Games, wide-eyed and eager to take in every moment, Durant is embarking on his fourth and likely final Olympic journey, bringing a wealth of experience to Team USA basketball.

Their bond is forged through championships. Together, they led the Golden State Warriors to consecutive NBA titles in 2017 and 2018 before Durant moved to the Brooklyn Nets. Now, they reunite, joining LeBron James as the seasoned veterans on a diverse Team USA roster.
Curry, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Joel Embiid, and Derrick White are first-time Olympians. However, at 36 years old, Curry’s Olympic debut comes after years of circumstance, injury, and timing keeping him off previous teams. He plans to treasure every moment of this experience.
“I’ve been imagining what that feels like, forever really. It’s my first time, and I’ve seen these guys… I mean, it’s KD’s fourth time doing it. So you imagine the excitement of representing your country, being a part of the Opening Ceremony festivities,” Curry said. “I know it’s very unique here, being on the river and being a part of the scene in Paris.”
As Curry and Durant reunite for Team USA, their presence not only brings a blend of excitement but also a wealth of experience to the squad. Consequently, this dynamic combination enhances the team’s prospects at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
