For the first time since 2023, away fans will return to the iconic Old Firm derby! ๐ดโฝ Rangers fans will be in attendance at Celtic Park on 16 March, while Celtic supporters will get their turn at Ibrox later in the season. Both clubs have agreed to allocate 4% of saleable capacity ๐ซ to visiting supporters.
๐๏ธ Managers Celebrate the Decision
๐ต Barry Ferguson (Rangers Head Coach):
๐ฃ๏ธ “I’m just happy the fans are back. These games missed something without away supporters. Ideally, we’d love to have even more, but it’s a great start!”

๐ข Brendan Rodgers (Celtic Manager):
๐ฃ๏ธ “It’s fantastic for the game, the spectacle, and most importantly, the fans. The atmosphere just isnโt the same without both sets of supporters. Hopefully, this leads to a full return of larger away crowds.”
๐ข Club Statements on the Agreement
๐ Rangers:
๐ต “Rangers supporters will be at Celtic Park on 16 March, with both clubs agreeing on a reciprocal percentage of tickets. Approximately 4% of saleable capacity will be allocated to away fans, ensuring our support will be present in Glasgowโs East End in just over two weeks’ time. This arrangement will be repeated for the Old Firm clash at Ibrox later in the season.”
๐ Celtic:
๐ข “Following last year’s SPFL determination and the necessary requirements being met, away supporters will now be present at both remaining Glasgow derbies this season.”
๐ฅ A Step Towards the Iconic Old Firm Atmosphere
The decision marks a positive shift after years of ticketing disputes ๐ค. Fans, players, and managers alike have long called for the return of larger away allocations. Which were once a defining part of the fixture.
With both sets of supporters back in the stands, expect the Old Firm atmosphere to be louder, fiercer, and more electric than ever! ๐ฅ๐๏ธ
