Paul Pogba has sparked speculation about a possible return to Manchester United once his 18-month suspension for a doping violation ends in March.
Authorities initially handed the French midfielder a four-year ban after he tested positive for DHEA, a prohibited substance that enhances testosterone levels, following Juventus’ match against Udinese in August 2023. However, an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his suspension to 18 months.
Currently a free agent after Juventus terminated his contract in November, Pogba has been training in Miami to prepare for his comeback. In a series of Instagram stories, the 31-year-old fueled rumors of a Manchester United reunion. One post featured a cartoon of him alongside Amad Diallo wearing United kits, while another showed him overlooking Miami with the cryptic caption: “Let’s see what’s coming…”
Although he has not yet decided on his immediate future, Pogba reportedly hopes to secure a new club before the January transfer window closes. Marseille has emerged as a strong contender, with manager Roberto De Zerbi expressing interest in the World Cup winner.

“I would like to have only champions in my team. Pogba has always been a champion,” De Zerbi said last month. “If top players like him arrive, we will find space for them. That’s a problem for our opponents, not us.”
Former Manchester United teammate Mason Greenwood also voiced his admiration for Pogba, saying, “He’s a great man and professional who took me under his wing. Any team in Europe would love to have him.”
Pogba’s potential return to Old Trafford would mark his third spell with the club, where he remains a fan favorite despite his turbulent career. For now, fans and clubs alike are eagerly awaiting his next move as his suspension nears its conclusion.
