Barcelona’s teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal, is poised to make his return to the squad for their upcoming match against Celta Vigo, the first game following the international break. According to a report by Javi Miguel of Diario AS, Yamal is expected to begin the match on the bench.
The 17-year-old winger had been sidelined with an ankle injury, which kept him out of Barcelona’s recent defeat to Real Sociedad. Initially, the injury was expected to keep him out for up to three weeks, but his recovery has progressed faster than anticipated, allowing him to be included in the matchday squad for the trip to Vigo.
Lamine Yamal’s return is a welcome boost for Barcelona, particularly with the team still missing key players like Ferran Torres. Additionally, Ansu Fati is set to be out for at least a month due to a hamstring injury, leaving Barcelona with limited attacking options.
Looking ahead, Lamine Yamal is on track to make his return to the starting lineup for Barcelona’s Champions League clash against Brest, which takes place just three days after the Celta Vigo match.
Meanwhile, striker Robert Lewandowski is also recovering from a back issue but is expected to be fit and ready to start against Celta Vigo.
