Promising young pacer Titas Sadhu, all-rounders Arundhati Reddy and Amanjot Kaur, wicketkeeper-batter Uma Chetry, and all-rounder Shreyanka Patil have earned their maiden BCCI women’s central contracts for the 2024-25 season. All five have been placed in Grade C, which offers a ₹10 lakh annual retainer. Meanwhile, Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, and all-rounder Deepti Sharma retained their Grade A contracts, with the highest pay of ₹50 lakh.

Among the new entrants, Amanjot Kaur is yet to make her India comeback after suffering a stress fracture in her back between the second and third editions of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The Punjab and Mumbai Indians all-rounder, who last played for India in January 2024, was named Emerging Player of the Season in WPL 2025 as MI secured its second title in three years.
Several notable names have been omitted from Grade C, including Meghna Singh, Devika Vaidya, S Meghana, Anjali Sarvani, and Harleen Deol. Harleen, who recently returned to the national team and scored her maiden ODI century, was a surprising exclusion. Arundhati Reddy, who made her T20I comeback and ODI debut last season, retained her Grade C contract despite slipping off the selectors’ radar.
In Grade B, left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad was excluded after falling out of favour. Last seen in India’s Test against South Africa in Chennai, she has not played a white-ball match since September 2023. Grade B, with a ₹30 lakh retainer, now includes Renuka Thakur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and Shafali Verma, who has been absent from the national team since the T20 World Cup 2024. Despite being sidelined since the T20 World Cup in the UAE, Pooja Vastrakar retained her Grade C contract.
